This course is designed to support practitioners who seek to review their current practice and management of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. Drawing from a variety of sources the course introduces advanced techniques to address the management of persistent pain and dysfunction. The course covers a review of the analgesic mechanisms of acupuncture and a variety of alternate needling approaches to support physiologically reasoned clinical decision making in the practical application of a variety needling techniques.
Includes deep needling of the cervical and lumbar spine, deep and superficial trigger point approaches, extra points and advanced needling techniques as well as protocols for chronic LBP, cervicalgia, cervical and lumbar radicular pain and dysfunction, Achilles, hamstring and patella tendonalgia, plantar facial pain, lateral and medial epicondylalgia, AKP and more.
This course is open to health professionals with previous acupuncture training and who have a significant level of anatomical and physiological knowledge.
