Can I pay the balance of the course in instalments?
You cannot currently pay the balance for courses in instalments, but we do offer a deposit option on our foundation courses.
I am pregnant, can I still attend this training?
You can attend any one of our courses whilst pregnant at your own discretion, but we would advise against being needled.
What should I wear for the course?
You can wear anything that you are comfortable practicing in. We would recommend bringing shorts and a short-sleeved top to change in to if you are happy to be practiced on.
I do not work in a clinical setting so do not have access to MSK patients, can I still attend?
Yes. We understand you may not already have access to a patient list, so friends and family can be needled to complete the case.
I work in private practice and do not have a licence; can I still attend?
Yes, you may complete the course and practice on friends and family without a licence. You may not practice on patients.
Am I insured to practice during the course?
Your insurance is a CSP benefit, if you are a CSP member, you are insured for the duration of the course. We would still recommend that you check your individual status to be sure.
What happens if I fail the written assignment?
You will be given two additional chances to successfully complete the written assignment.
What happens if I fail the practical assignments?
Failure of the practical assignment would mean that participants are unable to pass the course.
I am unable to attend all 6 days; can I attend part of one course and parts on another foundation course?
Unfortunately, due to the nature and structure of the course this is not possible.
I have a disability, what adjustments can you make to assist me?
The AACP has a strong commitment to recognising equality and diversity and individual learning. Our aim is to enable all individuals to achieve to the best of their ability. Admission to a course will be agreed on the basis that an individual is likely to benefit from it and not on irrelevant grounds such as gender, ethnic origin, creed, disability or age.
I am HIV / HEP B positive, can I still attend?
Yes, as long as you continue your treatment and the virus remains undectable you are eligible to attend as the course does not involve invasive treatment.
I am not CSP or HCPC registered, can I still attend?
Yes, you are able to attend all AACP courses but you would not be eligible for AACP membership.
I am not a physiotherapist; can I still attend and join the AACP?
The AACP runs courses exclusively for Physiotherapists, see our sister organisation HePAG for foundation courses and CPD geared towards other health professionals.
Is there any pre-course reading on the Foundation Course?
Yes, as soon as you book on, a list of pre-course reading material will be available in your members area.
How can I access AACP research materials and case studies?

I have already completed a foundation course; how do I join the AACP?

I would like to host a course; how do I do this?
If you’d like to host a course in your Hospital, Clinic or Practice and you’d like AACP to set it up and run it, then please contact the office to discuss arrangements via firstname.lastname@example.org
We can also run a course for you at our offices in Peterborough. We have an excellent training room available.
How can I renew my membership?
You can renew over the phone via card, Direct Debit, BACS or provide a online payment via our website.
Why have I not received my certificate?
We no longer send these out via post, you can download this via the members area of the website.
Can I have a receipt for past membership payments?
Yes, you can download your receipts via your members area.
How can I change my address?
You can change your address and all other details within the ‘Personal Details’ section of your Dashboard via the members area.
What constitutes CPD and how do I record it?
Continuous professional development refers to the process of training and developing professional knowledge and skills through independent, participation-based or interactive learning. You can record it in a portfolio, online in your members area or in our useful CPD log book.
Why have I been selected for auditing?
Each year 5% of AACP members are randomly selected for auditing.
